Sorry, not me.
Elliott Smith (Born Steven Paul Smith) was an American musician who is (sadly) not me. Though I can sometimes be seen playing the guitar, I assure you we are not the same person.
A: No, though my parents do have a diverse musical background, they were not tuned into the melancholy sounds of Elliott Smith around the time that they decided to name their latest baby boy (me).
A: For a while I refused to listen on the grounds of personal protest, until one faithful day when I tuned into my trusted college radio station WHRW 95.5FM and I heard a soft voice strumming an acoustic guitar, playing a catchy, alluring tune. To my surprise, the DJ announced it was Ballad of Big Nothing! By then I had to put aside my stubbornness, settle my differences, and hand it to him: it was a good song! I'm a little indifferent to the rest of his music, though!
A: Not really! When I was younger I thought it was an obscure coincidence, not really anticipating that his fame would grow as the years went on. It was only in college that I started getting pretty frequent questions about it, but even then, I was just glad that people weren't calling me "Smelliot" like they did back in elementary school (See: my Personal Instagram)
